Our School

A very warm welcome to Deanside Primary School, a Victorian government state school within the growth corridor of the City of Melton. We opened our doors to our very first students on 29th January 2022.

Stuart Telford, Principal

From the Principal

Our school is at the very centre of this vibrant community, and it is our great privilege and honour to be shaping the education of students in our school.

We are a school focused on the academic, social and emotional needs of our students, whose work is underpinned by a culture of high expectations for all.  Based on community consultation, we have been able to develop and embed four school values (Excellence, Respect, Responsibility and Care) which has allowed us to develop a school environment that allows our students, staff and parents to reinforce a consistent community partnership making our students’ schooling positive, successful and engaging.

Our student-centred approach focuses on the individual learning needs of our students. At Deanside Primary School, we aim to ensure that all students attain the knowledge, skills and learning traits necessary to foster a lifelong love of learning, as well as the capacity to engage critically and confidently within society.  Deanside Primary School is a state-of-the-art facility that allows students to be full immersed in 21st Century Learning to ensure we provide opportunities to be outstanding users and collaborators of technology now and into the future.

Our staff work closely to maximise educational outcomes for every child.  As a Professional Learning Team, we understand the importance of genuine connection within, among and beyond our school community and are therefore passionate about developing positive relationships with our students and their families.

At Deanside Primary School it is our mission to create a place where all students feel safe, are respected and highly challenged. Our teachers work in effective teams, planning for the success and learning of every child in the school. The staff at the school are highly professional, dedicated and caring. They provide quality learning experiences for the students that address their individual needs within a supportive learning environment.

As the founding Principal of Deanside Primary School, I feel privileged to lead this school on its journey to becoming a high-performing school in the local community that we can all be very proud of being connected with now and into the future. I would like to extend an invitation to prospective families to visit or call the school and our wonderful admin team would be happy to discuss further with you.

We are now taking enrolments, so please contact the school on the link below to arrange a tour.

We look forward to partnering with our families in the future educational journey.
